ABOUT OLIVER

Hello, I am

Oliver

Founder and Chartered Psychologist

I became interested in performance psychology the way most practitioners in this field do: through lived experience of what pressure actually does to a person.

Competing in sailing at international level, I encountered the full range. The narrowing of attention at critical moments. The grip of self-doubt when results did not match capability. The gap between what I knew I could do and what I actually produced on the water. Technical ability was never the limiting factor. Understanding was.

That experience is the foundation of Think 2 Win. Not a set of tools borrowed from sport and applied elsewhere, but a genuine, practitioner-developed understanding of what performance actually requires and what consistently gets in the way of it.

I believe performance is an expression of the person, not a product of a system. If you develop the person: their self-awareness, their values, their capacity to adapt, the performance follows. That is not a philosophy I arrived at through research alone. It is one I earned through competing, coaching, and working alongside people in the moments that matter most.

Every engagement begins with the same question: what are your defaults, and what do they cost you?

All of us develop patterns, ways of thinking, responding, and behaving, that form over time and become habitual. They work, until the demands change or the stakes rise. Under pressure, those patterns become more visible and more consequential. Understanding yours is not a weakness. It is the most honest starting point for any meaningful development work.

My process moves through three stages. First, we understand: a clear and honest picture of who you are, how you operate, and what is shaping your current performance. Second, we build adaptability: the psychological flexibility to respond to what each situation actually requires, rather than defaulting to habit. Third, we perform: embedding that capacity into consistent, high-level results in the environments that matter to you.

My operating philosophy is simple: explore, don't control. Performance is not manufactured through rigidity or forced outcomes. It develops through genuine self-awareness, deliberate preparation, and the willingness to engage with what is actually happening, not what you expected or hoped for.

Sustained Success

Think 2 Win is not a menu of interventions. It is a coherent approach: grounded in evidence, shaped by experience, and built around the individual. The goal is always the same -- to help you perform as the fullest version of yourself
